The mission of the Department of Psychiatry is to provide a wide range of programs and facilities enabling consumers of the mental health services to function as productively and independently as possible for the enrichment of the individual. The primary goal is to help consumers reach and maintain their highest level of functioning socially, psychologically, vocationally, economically and in their living arrangements of choice.
