Research and news media indicates that throughout their education male students trail female students in achievement. Presenters will identify aspects of child development specifically for boys in the context of school, family, and peer interaction that can promote educators' understanding of male students. Strategies that can help educators facilitate more optimal educational performance and engagement by boys in schools will be shared, including a discussion regarding potential barriers and effective approaches.
