St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center has a four year fully ACGME accredited Residency Program that seeks to educate residents to practice Obstetrics and Gynecology of the highest possible quality. It also aspires to provide graduating Residents with the ability to meet the changes and challenges that they will face throughout their professional careers. We have achieved a 100% board pass rate for the past eight years.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program is sponsored by New York Medical College, a member of the Touro University System.

Ob/ Gyn residents rotate in the following areas, in addition to a weekly continuity care clinic. A night float system is in place for night coverage.

Research is a requirement for successful completion of Residency.

As a major university affiliate, Medical Students from New York Medical College and St. George’s University School of Medicine rotate through OB/GYN as part of their 3rd year core rotations. Electives in the area of Maternal/Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology and Ambulatory OB/GYN are also available.

Applicants must apply through ERAS only.In order to meet criteria for this program an applicant must have graduated within the last five years and have passed all USMLE/COMLEX exams on the first attempt.
