Paterson, NJ [September 27, 2011] - St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center (SJRMC), which includes St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, Paterson, NJ, has announced the availability of its new Shabbat elevator.
Dedicated by Rabbi Michel Gurkov, Co-Director, Chabad Center of Passaic County, the Shabbat elevator, Visitor Elevator #14 located in the Regan Building, will be marked with a sign noting that it is an elevator which stops automatically on each floor on the Jewish Sabbath (sundown Friday to sundown Saturday) and on Jewish holidays. The Shabbat room at the regional medical center, located on the third floor of the Regan Building, is approximately 195 feet away from the Shabbat elevator.
