PATERSON, NJ (DECEMBER 23, 2010) – A birthday party just isn't complete without presents. When 8-year-old Anna Costello sent out her party invitations, she included a special 'gift request' – books.
The extra twist is that the books weren't for herself. Anna asked each of her friends to purchase a book that would later be donated to the patients of St. Joseph's Children's Hospital at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) in Paterson, New Jersey. The book collection was a success, and Anna (center) and her father, Francis Costello (left), Treasurer, SJRMC Foundation, made a special visit to St. Joseph's to deliver the books. For her thoughtful donation and good heartedness, Anna was recognized as a Junior Champion for Children by Timothy Barr (right), Vice President, Development, St. Joseph's Healthcare System, and Executive Director, SJRMC Foundation. The certificate acknowledges Anna's commitment to helping other children in need.
