Surgery
St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center is a Magnet-recognized, state designated Trauma Center, with its Perioperative Department performing over 13,000 surgical procedures per year.

The Perioperative Department houses fifteen operative suites, fourteen Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) bays, a Pain Management Center, and minor procedure rooms. Future expansion plans include improvements and accommodations for a more futuristic, state-of-the-art department. We are always at the forefront of practice.  St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center’s physicians have performed several of the “first” procedures in New Jersey. These include, the first Endo Aneurysm case by Dr. Christakos and the first Artificial Disc Replacement Surgery performed by Dr. Emami.

St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center is a teaching hospital affiliated with several medical schools including Seton Hall University and St. George’s University, as well as Nursing programs affiliated with William Paterson University, Passaic and Bergen Community Colleges.
