Routine EEG’s are provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
Ambulatory monitoring, an outpatient procedure, allows the physician to monitor a patients seizure activity for 24-72 hours while the patient continues with his/her routine daily life.
Video monitoring, an inpatient procedure, provides the physician with a video picture as well as brain wave tracings of the patient. This continuous, computer assisted monitoring helps the physician to make the best possible diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
