Orthopedic surgeons and physicians at the Orthopedics Institute at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center diagnose and treat a variety of chronic and acute conditions of the musculoskeletal system including disorders of bones, joints, spine, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves. We care for patients of all ages including pediatric patients with developmental disorders, athletic injuries and trauma, as well as older adults with arthritis.

Arthritis and Osteoporosis

The experienced, Board-certified physicians and surgeons at the Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center are dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of all forms of musculoskeletal disorders and diseases like arthritis (an inflammatory process that produces swelling, redness, warmth, and pain in joints), juvenile arthritis, autoimmune diseases, soft tissue disorders, and osteoporosis (a condition in which bones lose mass and architecture resulting in bones becoming more fragile and leading to fractures).

Foot and Ankle

Physicians at the Foot and Ankle Center are Board-certified with subspecialty training in foot and ankle surgery. Common foot conditions that are treated are:

Sports injuries
Soft tissue sprains
Dislocations
Bone fractures
Foot and ankle malformations caused by prior injury, overuse and inflammatory or systemic diseases

The foot is a complex structure consisting 26 bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments, and l9 muscles and tendons.

Hand and Micro Surgery

The Hand Center at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center provides care for conditions affecting the hand and wrists. Board-certified hand specialists treat patients from newborns with congenital anomalies to adults with debilitating disorders.

The anatomical design of the hand enables many activities and our hand surgeons are dedicated to preserving these functions of the hand. Two certified hand specialists are members of the full-time staff.
