Adolescent Medicine
The Division of Adolescent Medicine at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital emphasizes assessment of adolescent psychosocial development; their interaction with peers, teachers, and family members; and their ability to transition to adulthood. Special attention is given to prevention, health guidance, screenings, and immunizations.
Directed by pediatricians with special training in adolescent medicine, this service treats inpatients and outpatients between 13 and 21 years of age. The adolescent inpatient unit is decorated with the teen and young adult in mind. Outpatient services are delivered through St. Joseph's Children's Hospital.
