The Infusion Services Division provides the opportunity for IV therapy in an outpatient setting, thus avoiding the need for hospitalization. Pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists can call the Infusion Center and make arrangements for their patients to be treated. Services are offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The following are examples of the services offered:
- Chemotherapy
- Sickle cell therapy
- Blood transfusions-full and partial exchange transfusions
- Electrophoreses
- Immunotherapy
- Antibiotics/Antifungals
- Lysosomal Storage Disease infusions- enzyme replacement
This service is located on Xavier 7 in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division.
