The Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist works closely with the primary care provider to assist in the management of children with difficult to treat or unusual illnesses such as meningitis, pneumonia, and recurrent fevers. The specialist also provides primary and consultative services to children affected by such disorders as HIV, Cystic Fibrosis, and Tuberculosis. The Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist is also available to assist those with concerns related to travel medicine and foreign adoption.
