The Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital has Board-certified Pediatric Ophthalmologists who provide specialty and general eye care to pediatric patients. Children who have been treated at St. Joseph's Neonatal (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) Units often require specialty care for eye problems related to prematurity, such as retinopathy or strabismus. Specialty care is also often necessary for eye problems stemming from trauma or infections.
St. Joseph's Pediatric Ophthalmology Division provides a full range of support services for a variety of eye conditions including:
- Strabismus
- Ptosis
- Retinopathy of prematurity
- Congenital glaucoma
- Congenital cataracts
- Naso-Lacrimal duct obstruction
- Refractive error
