Introducing Marybeth Levandoski, Hospitality Customer Care and Services Representative for St. Joseph's Healthcare System to explain a program for the St. Joseph's community to help employees and community members achieve a greater quality of life.
Our leaders had a vision of taking the service culture at St. Joseph's from good to great. As a faith based system it is important that we all feel valued and respected no matter what our role is. Employees give testimonials on the impact of the new campaign as well as what embracing excellence really means to them. Embracing Excellence focuses on the value of learning or relearning the value of how we do what we do. What we do might be passing out medications, sweeping the floor, filling out a form or diagnosing an illness, these can be task oriented and very robotic, the way we do them should be with our hearts and with our customers' best interests in mind. The goal of Embracing Excellence is to make St. Joseph's an excellence place to work and receive good health care. Tremendous strides have already been made as we see and feel the change in our culture. Embracing Excellence is ongoing as together we create an environment of healing, compassion, and excellence for all our customers of the St. Joseph's Healthcare System.
