St. Joseph’s Health Foundation 2022 Gala: Successful Annual Fundraising Event Supports Patient Care

PATERSON, N.J. (November 7, 2022) —St. Joseph’s Health Foundation recently held its annual Gala at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. For this event celebrating St. Joseph’s Health, more than 500 donors, medical staff, corporate sponsors, community leaders and friends gathered for the October 13 event for the first time since 2019.

The 2022 Gala Co-Chairs, Cecilia McKenney, SVP Human Resources, Quest Diagnostics and Priscilla Kaszubski, DO, Chair of Rehabilitation, St. Joseph’s Health, lead the effort to raise more than $865,000. These funds will be used to continue funding the mission of St. Joseph’s Health – to provide high quality care to all those in need, with a special concern for the poor, vulnerable, and underserved.

“The evening was magical thanks to the leadership of our co-chairs, outstanding honorees and generous supporters,” said Robert Budelman, Vice President of Development, St. Joseph’s Health Foundation. “After three years of not being able to hold our Gala because of COVID-19, it was wonderful to come together and celebrate all the good happening at St. Joseph’s Health.”

Recognized for their  professional achievements, outstanding leadership and volunteer commitment were:  Joseph A. Holahan, MD, recipient of the Distinguished Physician Award; Steve and Saari Binder, recipients of the Marcalus Legacy Award;  and the Health Coalition of Passaic County (HCPC), recipients of the Simonelli Community Award.

In addition to a night of dinner and dancing, guests were also entertained by aerialists and other performers throughout the night.

“We are also proud of our continued growth and expansion across Northern New Jersey – bringing new programs, services and access to care to area residents in need,” said Kevin Slavin, President and CEO, St. Joseph’s Health. “I look forward to this Gala every year and I am so grateful for our generous supporters and for everyone who attended.”
