    • Access to in-office Behavioral Health LCSW as a part of our new and innovative behavioral health campaign to better serve our patients

    • In-office retina camera for diabetic eye exams with planned integrated training curriculum
    • In-office procedure room with electro-cautery machine and opportunities for other small procedures
    • Residents afforded with placement assistance upon graduation with abundant opportunities to practice both locally and in regions of interest in outpatient, urgent care, and hospitalist positions; guidance with fellowship applications if desired

    • St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is a tertiary care referral center for Passaic County
    • Patients come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, including those with Medicaid, Medicare, charity care, private insurance, and self-pay
    • Diverse mix of urban and suburban populations

    • Pregnant women (peripartum continuity clinic, L&D, post-partum floor, outpatient; >3500 deliveries per year at SJUMC)
    • Newborns (nursery, ED, outpatient)

    Teaching Opportunities
    Residents will have extensive exposure to interact with and teach third- and fourth-year medical students on all inpatient rotations, as well as in the clinic. Second- and third-year residents will teach third- and fourth-year medical students in the outpatient Clifton Family Practice office

  • Outpatient Care
    Our model ambulatory care center, St. Joseph’s Family Medicine in Clifton, is 3.2 miles from St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. It includes all elements required for patient care and education, including 13 examination rooms, a special procedure room, a family therapy room, precepting areas, an office lab, and a conference room.  The St. Joseph’s ambulatory imaging center is also on site, offering multiple imaging modalities for patients, both routine and stat.
