- St. Joseph’s University Medical Center Pediatric Residency Program is a three-year fully accredited residency program.
- Our program aims to train a diverse group of academically strong and compassionate residents to become well-rounded pediatricians who are leaders in the community.
- Residents are given the tools to become expert physicians, providing the highest standards of care in primary care–including prevention, diagnosis, and management of most general pediatric illnesses.
- Graduates are prepared to become life-long self-learners who are able to practice in community or academic centers.
- Trainees also receive high quality education in all pediatric subspecialties, pediatric emergency medicine, health disparities, cultural competence, medical ethics, quality improvement and research development, and community pediatrics and advocacy.
- Residents interested in additional subspecialty training increase their likelihood of success in the match selection through involvement in quality improvement and research projects and enriching electives pertinent to their specialty of choice.
