Make a Difference in Your Community
St. Joseph’s Health offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout our healthcare system. Volunteers are an essential part of healthcare team and play an important role in contributing to the excellence of care that we strive to provide to our patients and their families with each and every interaction.
Please note that our volunteer program does not offer shadowing, observation or internship opportunities.
Volunteer opportunities are available in the following locations and assignments vary from clerical to non-clinical direct patient contact. This will all be discussed in detail during the applicant’s interview:
- St. Joseph’s University Medical Center
- St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital
- St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center
- The DePaul Ambulatory Center
- Community Outreach – if you are not able to make a weekly commitment but would be interested in volunteering for a community outreach event or program, please email community_outreach@sjhmc.org.
Volunteer schedules are flexible and based upon the needs of the departments and the availability of the volunteer. Please be assured that we work closely and do our best to match each volunteer with their ideal assignment. Generally, volunteers commit to a minimum of four hours once a week and must commit to volunteering a minimum of 60 hours.
