St. Joseph’s Healthcare System encourages family and friends to visit patients. Since certain visiting situations may be not in the best interest to patients, please follow these general guidelines when visiting.

Quiet Time Hours - Regional Medical Center and Wayne Hospital

9:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.

Quiet Time allows our patients to relax and sleep in a healing environment. During Quiet time we ask for your cooperation in maintaining a quiet environment so all our patients can rest. We ask you to speak in soft tones, silence cell phones, and reduce the volume of the TV. 

St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center

 

Medical and Telemetry Units

8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Children under the age of 12 accompanied by adults may visit during these hours.

Adult Intensive Care Units

8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Visitation is restricted for children under the age of 12 years.
  • Critical patient situations may require that visitors be further restricted.
  • Overnight visitation is not permitted.

Psychiatry - Regan 2

Monday - Friday: 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. 
Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays: 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Children 16 years of age and older may visit accompanied by an adult.  

Pediatrics - Seton 4

8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
  • Parents have 24-hour visitation.
  • Parents must obtain an ID band from the nurse upon admission of their child.  An ID, such as a driver’s license may be requested if band is not obtained on admission.
  • Children under the age of 12 accompanied by adults may visit during these hours. 
  • Two visitors are allowed at the bedside in addition to the parents.
  • One parent is permitted to stay with the child overnight.

Pediatric ICU and Pediatric Step Down

8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.

  • Parents have 24-hour visitation.
  • Parents must obtain an ID band from the nurse upon admission of their child.  An ID, such as a driver’s license may be requested if band is not obtained on admission.
  • Two visitors are allowed at the bedside.   Children under the age of 12 may visit accompanied by an adult during these hours. 
  • One parent or their designee over the age of 18 years may sleep overnight.
  • Additional parents may stay in the overnight waiting room.

Mother/Baby Unit - Seton 1

8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.

  • Parents must obtain an ID band from the nurse upon admission of their child.  An ID, such as a driver’s license may be requested if band is not obtained on admission
  • Children under the age of 12 accompanied by an adult may visit during these hours. 
  • Father/Significant others/Grandparents may visit 24 hours/day.

Neonatal ICU - Seton 2 and Intermediate Nursery - Seton3

Parents have 24-hour visitation.

  • Parents must obtain an ID band from the nurse upon admission of their child.  An ID, such as a driver’s license may be requested if band is not obtained on admission
  • Two visitors are allowed at the bedside. 

OB/GYN - Seton 3

8:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

  • Children under the age of 12 accompanied by adults may visit during these hours.

Labor and Delivery - Seton 1

  • Admitted Patients:3 support persons over the age of 16 permited 24 hours/day. All other visitors must remain in the Lobby (6am – 8pm) or the surgical waiting room (8pm – 6am). 
  • Triage Patients: 1 support person only.

St. Vincent’s Healthcare and Rehab Center: Residents have their own phones. Patients may receive calls from 8 a.m. - 10 p.m., but may call out at any time.

St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center

Our spacious parking garage is conveniently located adjacent the Main Lobby entrance to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center/St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital at 703 Main Street, Paterson.

Garage parking is provided for a nominal fee:
Up to 1 hour - $5.00
Up to 2 hours - $7.00
Up to 3 hours - $8.00
Over 3 hours - $9.00
The maximum is $9.00 (24 hrs.)

An “All Day Pass” (available upon request) allows the pass holder to leave and return to the parking garage several times during the day. The cost for this service is $9.00.
Valet parking is also available at the Main Lobby driveway entrance to the Regional Medical Center. Please notify the attendant if you would like to valet park.
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. (Flat Rate: $10.00)
Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. (Flat Rate: $10.00)
Please note: Re-entry passes are not available for valet.

Parking at the Emergency Room entrance:
Emergency Department Patient Valet parking is free with patient discharge.
Emergency Department valet parking is available for a flat rate of $10 for ER visitors.
Visitor self-park parking is available 24 hrs. / 7 days (See rate schedule below)
Up to 1 hour - $5.00
Up to 2 hours - $7.00
Up to 3 hours - $8.00
Over 3 hours - $9.00
The maximum is $9.00 (24 hrs.)

Handicapped Parking at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center is available at the Main Lobby driveway entrance. For wheelchair assistance, please ask the attendant or call 973.754.3496. Rates as posted.

St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital

General parking is free.
Handicapped Parking in Wayne is free for drivers with a permit. For wheelchair assistance, please call 973.956.3400.

Employee Parking:
Employees are required to park in the Employee's parking lot located behind the main building.

Job applicants should park in the visitors parking area.

St. Vincent’s Healthcare and Rehab Center

Parking at the St. Vincent’s Healthcare and Rehab Center is free.
8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

There is no valet parking at St. Vincent’s.

Handicapped Parking at St. Vincent’s:
This is on a first come basis, with a driver's permit.

St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center

The cafeteria is located in the basement and the hours of operation are as follows:
Monday - Friday: Breakfast (6:30AM – 10:30AM) & Lunch (11AM – 2PM)

Room service dining is offered to our patients and they may call to place their orders at x3663 between the hours of 6AM-6PM.

Au Bon Pain (in the main lobby) 6 a.m. - 11 p.m., every day

Vending machines are available throughout St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center – 24 hours a day

St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital

“Café Wayne” is located on the third floor of the hospital. Breakfast and lunch are served. Hours of operation are: Monday - Friday: 7 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. (breakfast) and 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (lunch). If a patient wishes a menu change, please call: x3711

“Express Oh! And more...” food kiosk is located in the main lobby.
Monday - Sunday: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Vending machines are available 24 hours a day in various locations throughout the hospital, including the main lobby, the second floor waiting room (near the elevator alcove), third floor hallway outside the café, and in the Emergency Department.

St. Vincent’s Healthcare and Rehab Center

Although St. Vincent’s Healthcare and Rehab Center does not have a cafeteria, family members, and visitors of our residents are given a discounted meal for the entrée or alternate entrée items of that meal service. To participate, you must order and pay for the meal voucher in advance by speaking with Martha Agnello at 973.754.4827. If you wish to talk with the Nutritionist ask the nurse for information.
