Well-Being For Me

COVID-19 Support

Free Virtual Counseling Program – Now Available

St. Joseph’s Health is pleased to offer “Well-Being For Me,” a FREE virtual counseling program that is available to Paterson residents. Funded through a grant from the CARES Act, the program gives residents who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic the opportunity to speak to a mental health professional. We understand that mental health services can be expensive, difficult to access and at times stigmatizing. Therefore, we encourage you and your neighbors to apply for this limited time service.

Who is eligible?  The first 1,000 adult Paterson residents who:

  • provide proof of residency (NJ Driver License, NJ Non-Driver ID, or a utility bill)
  • per household, make less than: 1 person < $57,700; 2 people < $65,950; 3 people < 74,200; 4 people < $82,400; 5 people < $89,000; 6 people < $95,600; 7 people < $102,200; 8 people < $108,000
  • have been directly impacted by the pandemic and have not received mental health benefits from other federal resources due to COVID-19.

When does it start?  September 7, 2021 through December 31, 2021.  We have availability for up to 1000 people to receive the free well-being services.

What do you get?  Virtual counseling (up to 8 sessions) and well-being tools from our private 3rd party partner, AbleTo. Therapy sessions will be available in English and Spanish with translation available for other languages. You can connect through the app (iPhone or Android), a website, call, text, or printed materials.
