PGY-1 Preceptors

Jennifer Atherton, PharmD (athertonj@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Jennifer Atherton is the Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University. She went on to complete a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and a PGY2 in Emergency Medicine at Lakeland Regional Health in Lakeland, FL. Dr. Atherton serves as a preceptor to PGY1 residents on their Emergency Medicine rotation. Her clinical interests include resuscitation, toxicology, and infectious diseases.

Melody Kwang Mabial, PharmD (kwangmabiam@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Melody Kwang is the Clinical Pharmacy Manager at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. She obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Touro College of Pharmacy in New York, NY. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY, following which she stayed on as Pharmacotherapy Care Specialist. Dr. Kwang serves both as a PGY-1 pharmacy residency program coordinator and a preceptor to PGY-1 pharmacy residents on their administration rotation. Her clinical interests include infectious diseases, and transitions of care.

Kayla Natali, PharmD BCACP, CDCES, BCIDP, AAHIVP (natalikayla@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Kayla Natali is an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. Dr. Natali received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from MCPHS University – Boston.  She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency as well as a PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.  She currently provides ambulatory care clinical pharmacy services to patients at the DePaul Center.  Her clinical interests include diabetes management, hypertension management, and HIV management. 

Humberto Jimenez, PharmD, BCPS, AAHIVP (v_ruems_hj@sjhmc.org)

Dr. Humberto Jimenez serves as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Infectious Diseases at Comprehensive Care Center at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University. Dr. Jimenez received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy and completed his residency training at St. Michael’s Medical Center. At his practice site, Dr. Jimenez provides patient care for HIV infected children, adolescents, and adults by collaborating with infectious disease physicians, nurses, case managers, and others to ensure quality and comprehensive patient care. In this setting and on campus, Dr. Jimenez provides didactic and hands-on teaching to students and residents. Dr. Jimenez is also a co-founder and President of Waves of Health, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing modern medical care to underserved communities. He is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and a Practicing HIV Pharmacist, a certification provided by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
