Adult Residential Services

Adult Residential Services consists of 33 community beds licensed by the NJ Division of Mental Health Services for chronically and persistently mentally ill adults who require varying levels of supervision to maintain their level of functioning in the community. All beds are transitional by design with the goal of attaining eventual independent living. Nineteen community beds are provided in two licensed group homes, both located in Paterson. One home provides 24-hour coverage, seven days a week. The other home provides evening and overnight coverage during the week and 24-hour coverage on weekends.

Adult Residential Services also provides 14 beds licensed as Level B apartment beds. There are four apartments where residents are provided with 4 to 12 hours of daily staff assistance to ensure the safety and security of all residents. This program is for adults with a history of serious and persistent mental illness who require varying levels of supervision to maintain their level of functioning in the community. All beds are transitional in design with the goal of independent living.
