ACCESS Deaf Services
Based at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson and funded by the NJ State Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, ACCESS provides community-based behavioral health services to deaf and hard of hearing people throughout New Jersey. PATH Program
The PATH Program of Passaic County is a countywide outreach and case management program for individuals who are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless and have a serious and persistent mental illness.
Our case managers collaborate with local landlords to locate affordable housing for individuals enrolled in our program. The PATH Program is not a housing program; it does not have shelter beds, apartments or rooms for rent.
The PATH Program is a street level outreach and supportive services program that links individuals to mental health, financial, housing, drug/alcohol treatment, medical/dental and habilitation/rehabilitation services. The PATH Program is operational Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Supported Employment Program
The Supported Employment Program serves Passaic County adults with a history of serious and persistent mental illness in need of habilitation as well as rehabilitation. Supported Employment is an evidenced based approach that assists individuals with psychiatric conditions participate in the competitive labor market. A team of professionally trained employment specialists helps them seek, obtain and maintain meaningful employment with the use of the services provided.
Community Support Services
Community Support Services are available to consumers with a chronic and persistent mental illness who live independently, or wish to live independently, and who are at risk of hospitalization. Consumers involved with Community Support Services create unique personalized Individualized Rehabilitation Plans. Services are provided through an individualized skills teaching approach, designed and developed to teach any interested consumer new skills to insure living in the most independent setting available, and addressing any emergent issues to insure their self- care.
Services are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours, 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM. Staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to address any emergencies. Services are typically provided in the consumer’s home. Community Support Service offices are located at 645 Main Street, Paterson.
