The Behavioral Health Department at St. Joseph’s Health offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient mental health services utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach to treatment. Patients benefit from the combined skills and expertise of psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, nurses, and other mental health professionals specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions.
Behavioral Health services include:
- Assessment and evaluation
- Medication management and adjustment
- Individual, group and family therapy
- Anxiety and phobia services
- Specialized services for children and adolescents
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Inpatient Services
The St. Joseph’s University Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Inpatient Services are provided in a 24-bed adult voluntary unit, which offers a multidisciplinary milieu therapy model of treatment. This unit is located on the campus of St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.
Visiting is limited to specific hours. Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 p.m. -8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Holidays are considered those celebrated by the hospital.
Outpatient Behavioral Health Services
The Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinics offer a full range of outpatient services, including psychiatric evaluations; medication monitoring; and individual, group and family therapy for adults, children and adolescents. In addition, we offer services for those with co-occurring disorders in our Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders (IT-COD) Program. Our staff consists of physicians, advance nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, and psychologists.
The clinic is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am-7:00 pm.
