Individualized Plans to Address Symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease

When it comes to Parkinson’s disease, rehabilitation therapy is key to making everyday tasks easier.  As you live with Parkinson’s disease, physical, occupational and speech therapists will become important members of your care team.

At St. Joseph’s Health, the professionals in our Parkinson’s disease rehabilitation program have specialized training in treating people with Parkinson’s disease.  Our highly skilled therapy team includes board certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, called physiatrists, who hold multiple Parkinson’s disease treatment specialty certifications, allowing them to provide advanced care and treatment. Together with a multidisciplinary therapy team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, our physiatrist will evaluate and develop individualized treatment plan to help each person achieve the best possible outcome.  Our goal is to maximize a person’s ability to function and to maintain quality of life.
