St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital is a state-designated children’s hospital, which means that the hospital has met specific standards of pediatric health, including offering specialized pediatric care like a pediatric emergency department, a pediatric intensive care unit and a regional perinatal center.  We have a full team of pediatric experts from several surgical and medical specialties, who are specially trained to care for children and who understand the unique physical and emotional needs of children and their families.

We provide advanced inpatient and outpatient medical care for children from birth to 21 years of age.  With more than 150 board-certified pediatric specialists and a close network of community pediatricians, we can take care of every child across a full range of conditions, from the common to the most complex. 

St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital is located within the St. Joseph’s University Medical Center campus in Paterson, NJ.  Our children’s hospital has its own admitting, waiting, and recovery rooms designed just for children. Our facilities, services, and support programs are designed specifically to help put children at ease and provide parents with the resources they need during stressful times.
