PATERSON, NJ (May 8, 2024) – The St. Joseph’s Health Foundation is pleased to announce a successful Fashion with Compassion fundraiser. The Foundation’s marquee event – which highlights pediatric patients and their doctors walking the runway – hosted an astounding crowd of over 400 guests. The event, which took place at The Rockleigh in May, attracted fashionistas and philanthropists from northern New Jersey, raising a record breaking sum, the largest in the event’s 14-year history.
All proceeds from the evening benefit St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.
Event co-chairs Maryanne Puccio and Moira Connolly, Esq., were thrilled to once again bring together the elegant fashions of Bloomingdale’s Willowbrook with the very special children who were highlighted throughout the evening. The emcee for this year’s event was Kelly Evans, journalist and co-anchor of Power Lunch on CNBC business news channel.
“The impact of the proceeds of Fashion with Compassion cannot be overstated,” Puccio said. “The true beneficiaries are the thousands of children treated at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, receiving the expert care they need at their most vulnerable moments.”
The facility is a state-designated specialized children’s hospital offering a full spectrum of comprehensive, multidisciplinary specialties including The Valerie Fund Center for Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders, a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Room, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and the Binder Autism Center.
“We’re thrilled to honor our youngest patients and the physicians who not only heal them, but have given them their life back,” Connelly said. “We thank our entire community who gave from the heart and joined us on the runway.”
