Visiting Hours

Visitation at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center

In order to maintain a healing environment, St. Joseph’s University Medical Center asks visitors to support their loved one by following the listed visita­tion guidelines:

General Guidelines:

  • Regular Visiting Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Visitors must obtain a visitor’s pass at the information desk in the main lobby.
  • Two visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time.

If you are visiting the following units, please know they have different visitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment. Each unit will provide this informa­tion upon request.

  • Labor and Delivery - Seton 1
  • Mother/Baby Unit - Seton 1
  • Psychiatry - Regan 2
  • Adult and Pediatric Intensive Care Units
  • Pediatric - Seton 4

Please Remember:

  • Parents have 24-hour visitation while visiting the Pediatric Unit. Parents must obtain an ID band from the nurse upon admission of their child. An ID, such as a driver’s license, may be requested if the ID band is not obtained on admission. However one parent or their designee is permitted to stay with their child overnight.
  • Children under the age of 12 accompanied by adults may visit during these hours.
  • Overnight visitation is not permitted.
  • Children should not be left unattended in the Main Lobby.

QUIET TIME (9:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m.)

Quiet Time allows our patients to relax and sleep in a healing environment. During Quiet Time we ask for your cooperation in maintaining a quiet environment so all our patients can rest. We ask you to speak in soft tones, silence cell phones, and reduce the volume of the TV.

Visitation at St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center

If you are visiting Adult Intensive Care Units, please know they have different visitation Guidelines to ensure a safe environment. Units will provide this information upon request.

  • Regular Visiting Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Visitors must obtain a visitor’s pass at the information desk in the main lobby.
  • Two visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time.
  • Visitors must be over the age of 12.
  • Overnight visitation is not permitted.
  • Children should not be left unattended in the Main Lobby.
