Visiting Your Loved One
As we prioritize the safety and well-being our patients, visitors, and families, we encourage visitation by loved ones, which can assist in the healing process.
We have implemented the following guidelines on all campuses:
- Visiting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Visitors must obtain a pass at the information desk in the main lobby.
- Two visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time.
- Visitors must be over the age of 12.
- Overnight visitation is not permitted.
- Children should not be left unattended in the Main Lobby.
Visitation at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center
If you are visiting the following units, please know they have different visitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment. Each unit will provide this information upon request.
- Labor and Delivery – Seton 1
- Mother/Baby Unit – Seton 1
- Psychiatry – Regan 2
- Adult and Pediatric Intensive Care Units
- Pediatric – Seton 4
Quiet Time, which takes place daily from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., allows our patients to relax and sleep in a healing environment. During Quiet Time we ask for your cooperation in maintaining a quiet environment so all our patients can rest. We ask you to speak in soft tones, silence cell phones, and reduce the volume of the TV.
Visitation at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital
Parents/guardians have 24-hour visitation and may remain with the child overnight. The parent/guardian must obtain an identification band from the nurse upon the child’s admission. An ID, such as a driver’s license, may be requested.
Visitation at St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center
In order to maintain a healing environment, St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center asks visitors to please remember and support their loved one by following the listed visitation guidelines:
- Regular Visiting Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Visitors must obtain a visitor’s pass at the information desk in the main lobby.
- Two visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time.
If you are visiting Adult Intensive Care Units, please know they have different visitation Guidelines to ensure a safe environment. Individual units will provide this information upon request.
