At St. Joseph University Medical Center, we have a busy inpatient consultation service and a half day continuity clinic. There is a weekly tumor board and opportunities for electives in pathology and palliative care.
At St. Michael Medical Center there is a specialized coagulation lab and two continuity clinics.
Fellows spend two months at Hackensack Medical Center for their transplant rotation. It is one of the largest transplant centers in the nation run by internationally known physicians.
Program Size
The HEM/ONC program currently maintains an ACGME resident complement of (4) fellows in each academic year.
Population Served
Extremely diverse ethnic groups in Paterson many with diseases in stages not seen in United States frequently as well as rare diseases such as HTLV-1
Outreach
Senior fellows attend Cancer Committee meeting and are kept abreast of new outreach programs
Teaching Opportunities
Fellows present on a regular basis didactic lectures to medical residents and medical students.
